3 parts gin
1 part martini extra dry
3 green olive
3 ice cubes
Directions:
Make your martini in your preferred way - these are just my preferences. You can just easily make this with Vodka instead of Gin and black olives rather than green. I find black olives the best with Vodka, green with Gin.
The important bit: stuff your pitted olives with blue cheese. Again, your favourite will do. My preference is Dolcelatte as it is creamy and soft, so easy to stuff into the olives. The best way is to dry your *firm* olive and then pick off a chunk of the cheese with a teaspoon, roll it a bit with your fingers, then poke it in the hole. A swizzle stick etc. can be used to ram it down all the way, then tidy it up with the spoon or kitchen towel, etc.
The drink is flavoured by the cheesey olives a little, especially toward the bottom, but the best bit is the martini-marinaded dolcelatte olives themselves - there is nothing to compare to this!
The credit for this goes to Martinis online (can I mention them on here?) but I thought it worthy of passing on as it is so great.
